12 hours of training on 4-pedal weaving loom (Training in French or English)
Even if Aubusson is better known than Felletin for its tapestries, the cradle of the tapestry remains Felletin. Felletin's weaving was appreciated for its quality, among other things for the "Felletin sheets" which were often found in wedding trousseaux in the 18th and 19th centuries as luxury items.
The weekend
Format 1
From Friday from 4 p.m. to Sunday 4 p.m. leaves enough time to learn the basic techniques of weaving.
Format 2
From Saturday from 9 a.m. to Sunday 7 p.m. Assembly of the chain on Saturday and weaving on Sunday. More personalized training.

At the end of the course you will leave with your hand-woven scarf (24cm wide and between 140cm and 160cm depending on your weaving speed)
A lighter version of the "weaving only" program and possible on request - A person will set up the chain for you if you just want to give it a try.

The International Tapestry City in Aubusson is 10km away and other cultural activities are available in the Felletin environment.
Three Web Weavers looms are at your disposal (therefore three places per internship). This allows us to spend a lot more time with you. No minimum person to do the course, you just have to book at least a week in advance.
Weavers web businesses are designed and built in Felletin.
